After her son is killed in a tragic accident at the top of his acting career, Marilyn is stunned to learn that they are going to replace her son with a new actor that looks identical to her offspring. What hurts her the most is that they are not going to give the new actor a different character. It will be as if the new actor is playing her son playing the character he made famous... and she is not happy. She feels that it will erase her son in a public kind of way. Her son was building a huge legacy. Marilyn goes to the home of the new actor to beg that he declines the role and this is where the emotions take flight.
